The main age that took my survey were 16-19 year olds. These are the people that tend to watch music channels and therefore are the people we will be aiming to please.  At this age, friends influence what an individual watches and therefore if the video appeals to some people, other people will watch it due to their friends talking about it, hence why I need to impress a wide audience. 

70% of the people that took my survey were female, this means that this data is more reliable for females rather than males. However there were males take the survey and therefore both sex's have had an input. I am going to be aiming my product at both genders as I feel that music videos should have a very wide audience, and with imput from both males and females I feel I can achieve this.

All of the people surveyed watch music videos, meaning they will know what the expect from a music video and what they would like to see from them. Because they all watch music videos, it makes the feedback from this survey very reliable as I will know exactly what people who watch music videos look for.

The majority of the people who took my survey regularly watch music videos. This means they are a relatable topic to my target audience. I asked this question as I feel that information from people who watch music videos more regularly would be more helpful as I want my music video to be watch a lot and this will be helpful.

1-3 minutes is the preferred song length. We will be taking this into account by choosing a song length of around 3 minutes, but compromising to around 4 minutes if necessary.  I feel that having a suitable length music video is key, as you do not want people to get bored of what they are watching and switch off as soon as they see a video as they know that it 'drags' on.

The main music channels watched are 4music and VIVA, both of these channels play a range of different music but mainly focus on the latest tracks and the UK top 40. I will be chosing a song that has been in the UK top 40, but not necessarily recently. 

My target market look for good catching lyrics, dancing and costumes mainly. This will all be taken into consideration in the planning and production of the video.
