Analysis':
From the music video analysis' I have pulled out the conventions that make a music video successful, and what makes the ancillary products to go with it help to market the song and therefore sell the CD's. I have listed the conventions of each, and will be using some of these but also be challenging some of them in the construction of my video.
Survey:
From my survey I found out exactly what my target market wanted from their viewing of a music video, and their preferences. In the construction of my video I will be making sure I stick to this extremely closely as I want to produce a video that my target audience want to watch over and over again, and one that they would recomment to peers.
Focus Group:
I asked a small group of people some questions on a CD cover and a music video. I asked them what worked well/not so well and why, what could be improve and if they would buy the album, I feel that these questions and the answers helped me to gain a sound knowledge of the specific things that my target audience like and I can now work closely with this to ensure I make a video that works well. The focus group allowed my to realise just how high the expectations of a music video and it relating products were.
